Last weekend, we have witnessed the competition between ‘Gaali Sampath’, ‘Sreekaram’ and ‘Jathi Ratnalu’. This weekend, three more movies are competing with each other. They are ‘Mosagallu’, ‘Chaavu Kaburu Challaga’, and ‘Sasi’.
However, none of these movies have registered any noticeable trend of advance-bookings at the ticket windows. Vishnu and Kajal have been promoting ‘Mosagallu’ aggressively but it has not yet translated into bookings. Same goes with Kartikeya and Lavanya Tripathi starrer ‘Chaavu Kaburu Challaga’. Generally, no one cares to book a movie for an Adi Saikumar starrer in advance as he has given nearly 10 flops in a row. So, the trend is the same for his ‘Sasi’.
But the trade pundits say these films will pick up collections if they get better word-of-mouth and reviews. None of these movies have a ‘pulling factor’ to get bookings. Their performance entirely hinges on the ‘running collection’.
