Toxic teaser: Yash shocks with dual role in violent drama

The much-awaited teaser of “Toxic” dropped this morning, and it is bold, unapologetic, and extremely violent. Packed with raw action, bloodshed, and strong language, the teaser makes it clear that this is not a conventional mainstream pan-Indian entertainer.
Yash, riding high on the massive craze of the KGF franchise, appears to be playing a dual role in this gangster saga.
At the beginning of the teaser, he is introduced as Raya, a ruthless and intense gangster. The teaser concludes with a younger-looking Yash delivering the line, “I’m home, Daddy,” sparking speculation that he might be portraying both father and son.
However, the makers have not officially clarified the nature of this dual role, adding to the intrigue.
The teaser notably avoids showcasing the leading ladies and instead focuses entirely on stylized violence and high-octane action. Reportedly set in bygone Goa, “Toxic” promises a different take on the gangster genre. The promo opens with the line, “This time war will be different,” hinting at a brutal and emotionally charged narrative.
The film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Benedict Garrett in key roles. Music is composed by Ravi Basrur.
Produced by KVN Productions, “Toxic” is slated for a worldwide release on March 19, 2026.
