“Kalki 2898 AD” has seen a slowdown in the domestic Indian market. Collections, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, have been relatively low in recent days. In North America, however, the picture is more positive.
The film has already surpassed the total earnings of “RRR” (including re-releases) and Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal”. The film will gross more than $16 million by the end of its second weekend.
So, the Prabhas-starrer will now aim for a $20 million gross. The film has a good chance of becoming the highest-grossing Indian film ever in North America. Currently, “Baahubali 2” holds the top spot with a total gross of $20.5 million. “Kalki 2898 AD” might surpass this collection.
“Kalki 2898 AD” stars Prabhas as the lead hero and is directed by Nag Ashwin.
