Vamshi Paidipally is directing a film starring Tamil superstar Vijay. In Tamil, the film is called ‘Varisu,’ and in Telugu, it is called ‘Vaarasudu.’ It is currently thought to be Vijay’s first straight Telugu film. But now comes the revelation.
“Varisu is a proper Tamil film,” Vamshi Paidipally told Tamil magazine Vikatan.
When asked if it is a dubbed Tamil film or a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, he insisted that it is a “proper Tamil film.”
Recently, we saw Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Prince’ dubbed into Telugu but marketed as bilingual. We should applaud Vamshi Paidipally for making it clear that the film is dubbed.
