Veteran actress Vijayashanthi played the role of a mother to Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in “Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi,” which hit theaters yesterday. The film received mixed reviews, but the collections so far have been fairly decent.
Speaking about the positive response, Vijayashanthi thanked the audience for their support but also issued a strong message to those trying to pull down new releases with negative comments on social media.
“It was a pleasure to see the results of our hard work. The producers didn’t compromise and made this film a grand success. It’s a story full of emotions between a mother and son. We are pleased with the feedback. But it’s not appropriate to spread negative comments. Those who try to pull down every new movie should change their mindset,” she said.
Vijayashanthi also stressed that every film deserves space to breathe. “Let the industry live. Learn to bless a film wholeheartedly. Don’t spoil a producer’s investment. This film will win in the end. I developed a positive bond with Kalyan Ram during the making of this film. From the outset, he affectionately addressed me as ‘Amma, Amma’ and expressed a great deal of love and warmth.”
Vijayashanthi also thanked NTR for attending the pre-release event. “On this occasion, I would like to thank Junior NTR for coming to the event and giving the film the publicity boost it needed,” she added.
