Pawan Kalyan, Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister and a cabinet minister, is currently touring Karnataka.
In Bengaluru, he commented on his official discussions with Karnataka forest department. His words have become a heated subject on social media.
“Forty years ago, stars such as Kannada Kanteerava Raj Kumar played heroic parts, who were advocates for forest preservation. But nowadays, heroes are more like smugglers, destroying forests and trees,” he observed.
His remarks may have been a general observation about cinematic trends, but many believe he stated it in reference to Allu Arjun, who played the red sanders smuggler in “Pushpa.”
