There has been a lot of debate concerning the background score for “Pushpa 2 The Rule.” All is not well between Devi Sri Prasad, the principal music composer, and the production house, Mythri Movie Makers. At a Chennai event, Devi Sri Prasad openly made critical remarks about one of the producers, Y Ravi Shankar.
Devi Sri Prasad has stated that he composed all of the music in the film, including the songs and background score. At the film’s pre-release event in Hyderabad on Monday, director Sukumar lauded Devi Sri Prasad’s background score, mentioning specifically that Devi Sri provided a terrific score in the climactic parts.
Sam CS claims
Now, Sam CS, a young Tamil film music director whose work on the recent Telugu hit ‘Ka’ was much praised, has taken to social media to thank the “Pushpa 2” producers for providing him the opportunity to offer background score.
He praised the producers, actor Allu Arjun, and director Sukumar for the opportunity. He said that he also collaborated on the ‘climax’ sequence.
He posted on Twitter: “For the man behind the lenses, director #sukumar @SukumarWritings sir, I’m grateful to share a moment working with you on this Magnum opus, especially working on that power packed fight scenes & climax is a whole different experience.”
Thaman reveals
In previous media interviews, another renowned music director, S Thaman, stated that he worked on the background score for the first half of “Pushpa 2 The Rule.”
Now the issue arises: who actually composed the film’s background score? “Pushpa 2” will hit the theaters this Thursday.
