Will Nithiin overcome the ‘bad image’ of his director?

Nithiin

Nithiin has plans to move away from the genre of romantic dramas. He is tired of playing lover boy roles as he is just shy of 40. The actor has done an out-and-out mass action entertainer named ‘Macherla Niyojakavargam’, which hits the theaters this Friday.

However, ‘Macherla Niyojakavargam’ landed in controversy when the film’s director MS Rajashekhar Reddy’s old tweets surfaced online. The debutant director is a fan of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. When Jagan Mohan Reddy won the 2019 elections, he posted several tweets praising Jagan and the YSRC party. But a couple of tweets put him in an embarrassment.

A tweet allegedly posted by the director is haunting him. The social media post has abusing two prominent caste groups. The director has denied of posting any thing as such. He said they are fake posts, not tweeted by him. Nithiin also said they were photoshopped images.

But many social media posts prove that the two caste groups refuse to believe the director. They are not showing much interest in this film.

It will be interesting to see whether Nithin overcomes this negativity.
