What’s it about?

Ajay (Ashish) is a YouTuber who enjoys solving mysteries. One day, he learns about an evil spirit named Divyavathi who lives in a haunted house and decides to investigate her mystery.

He even falls in love with her and delves deeply into her past. He enlists the help of Prathap (Ravi Krishna) and Priya (Vaishnavi Chaitanya) to solve the mystery of Divyavathi and her existence. As he delves deeper, more shocking secrets emerge. Who is this Divyavathi? What’s her background? The film’s central plot revolves around how Arjun solved the mystery.

Analysis

“Love Me” is Ashish Reddy’s second film. The trailer and promotions were interesting. However, the film disappoints miserably. The thrills are weak, and the film is a yawnfest.

Though the basic idea might have looked interesting on paper for the new Arun Bhimavarapu but he doesn’t have engaging writing skill. The writing is sloppy, and the execution of key twists is far too tedious and takes forever to unfold.

One of the film’s main flaws is the confusion created by the narrative. To establish the ghost, multiple female characters are introduced, and after a while, one becomes confused.

The narration is tedious, and the audience has many questions about the characters after learning who is doing what. The narration leaves us in boredom after a point.

Ashish Reddy has improved since his debut film “Rowdy Boys”. Vaishnavi Chaitanya has a good screen presence, but she is not fully utilized in the film. Her role is a major disappointment. Ravi Krishna is decent in his role, as is Rajeev Kanakala in his cameo.

MM Keeravani has composed the music but his work hardly makes a difference here. The film’s visual effects are decent, as are the production values. Veteran cinematographer PC Sreeram’s camerawork adds some charm here and there.

Bottom-line: “Love Me ” is total failure in execution. One cannot understand why the producers approved this script in the first place.
