నిజానికి దళపతి విజయ్ తో ‘మాస్టర్’ పూర్తికాగానే ‘ఖైదీ 2’ తీస్తాను అని అప్పట్లో ప్రకటించాడు లోకేష్. కానీ ‘మాస్టర్’ తర్వాత కమల్ హాసన్ హీరోగా ‘విక్రమ్’ తీశాడు. ఇప్పుడు మళ్ళీ విజయ్ హీరోగా మరో భారీ సినిమా తీస్తున్నాడు లోకేష్. మరి, ‘ఖైదీ 2’ ఎప్పుడు?
“ఖైదీ 2 గురించే అందరూ అడుగుతున్నారు. ఇది వచ్చే ఏడాది ఉంటుంది. ఇందులో అన్నయ్య సూర్య కూడా నటిస్తారు. 2023లో లాంచ్ చెయ్యడం గ్యారెంటీ,” అని తాజాగా కార్తీ ప్రకటించాడు.
‘పొన్నియన్ సెల్వన్’ పెద్ద హిట్ కావడం, ‘సర్దార్’ సినిమా తమిళనాట మంచి వసూళ్లు పొందడంతో కార్తీకి మార్కెట్ పెరిగింది. దాంతో, ‘ఖైదీ 2’ కూడా చేసేస్తే తనకి క్రేజ్ మరింత ఎక్కువ అవుతుంది.
