Rashmika Mandanna is signing films where she needs to play the central characters or female-centric stories, in addition to being a part of big-ticket movies as the main heroine. “The Girlfriend” is one such project.
Rahul Ravindan, an actor-filmmaker, will direct the film, which was announced today. A video preview was also released by the producers.
Rashmika Mandanna portrays a distinct character. Rashmika claims that this is a love story that no one has ever heard or seen before.
“The world is full of great love stories… But there are those few love stories that haven’t been heard or seen before… And ‘The Girlfriend’ is one such,” she wrote on her social media pages.
Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni are the producers, and Allu Aravind presents it. Music is provided by Hesham Abdul Wahab of “Hi Nanna” and “Kushi” fame. The regular shoot will start soon.
