Rao Bahadur teaser: Mystery, love, and intrigue collide

Director Venkatesh Maha and actor Satyadev have joined hands once again for “Rao Bahadur,” marking their second collaboration after “Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya”. The film is produced by A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments, with Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar’s GMB Entertainment presenting it.

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli today unveiled a striking video titled Not Even A Teaser, which offers a tantalizing glimpse into the film’s intriguing world.

Set against the backdrop of a fading aristocracy, “Rao Bahadur” revolves around a reclusive protagonist who isolates himself in an aging mansion, convinced he is cursed. Haunted by the belief that “Anumanam is his penubhootam (doubt has possessed him),” he navigates a world where the boundaries between reality, imagination, and parallel stories begin to blur.

The narrative weaves together elements of a love story, investigation drama, and psychological thriller. It is an ambitious mix that director Venkatesh Maha seems to have blended seamlessly, heightening curiosity. Satyadev’s varied looks further add to the intrigue.

Malayalam actress Deepa Thomas as appears as the female lead.

“Rao Bahadur” is currently in production and is scheduled for release in Summer 2026, in Telugu with subtitles across multiple languages.
