With Homebound being India’s official entry for consideration in the Best International Feature Film category at the 2026 Oscars, the team hosted a special premiere in Mumbai on Monday.
Janhvi Kapoor stole the spotlight in a royal blue saree once worn by her late mother, Sridevi.
She paired the outfit with elegant gold jewelry, making the moment a heartfelt tribute. Sridevi had previously donned the same saree at Virat Kohli’s wedding reception in 2017.
Like her mother, Janhvi has a deep love for sarees and often chooses them to honor Sridevi’s legacy.
On the work front, Janhvi is currently part of Ram Charan’s Peddi, though her shoot schedules are on hold. In the meantime, she is busy promoting her Hindi projects, including Homebound. The film’s team is gearing up for extensive promotions to boost its chances of securing an Oscar nomination.
