Jatadhara Trailer: Blood, curses, and supernatural showdowns
The supernatural fantasy thriller, Jatadhara, is slated to release on November 7th. The film stars Sudheer Babu in the lead role and it also marks Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha’s Telugu debut.
The trailer was today released by Mahesh Babu and the trailer plunges audiences into a chilling world where ancient mythology collides with spine-tingling horror.
The story revolves around a centuries-old curse guarding buried treasure, sealed with dark spells. The deadliest of them is the Pisacha Bandhanam, a demonic binding that summons spirits to protect it. A sceptical ghost hunter, determined to prove ghosts don’t exist, inadvertently breaks this curse due to one man’s greed, unleashing the Dhana Pisacha. As haunting visions of a child’s impending sacrifice grip him, he must stop a sinister ritual, all while confronting forces beyond mortal comprehension, including Shiva, the cosmic power of creation and destruction.
One striking moment sees Sudheer’s character drinking blood from the earth in a trance, capturing the film’s raw and visceral intensity. Sudheer Babu’s complete transformation for this role stuns us.
Sonakshi Sinha appears in a fierce, unconventional avatar as the vengeful Dhana Pisachi. Supporting actors Avasarala Srinivas and Shilpa Shirodkar add depth to the story, enhancing the supernatural tension.
Directed by Venkat Kalyan, “Jatadhara” relies less on conventional jump scares and more on psychological dread woven with ancient Indian mythology.
