Sai Pallavi is currently one of the most sought-after actresses in Indian cinema. Top producers and directors across industries are chasing her for pan-Indian projects, impressed by her consistent performances and strong screen presence.
Already headlining ambitious ventures like “Ramayana” with Ranbir Kapoor and reportedly being considered for Prabhas’s “Kalki 2,” Sai Pallavi’s lineup reflects her growing stature beyond regional boundaries. Now, she has added another prestigious project to her slate.
Veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam has signed Sai Pallavi as the female lead in his next romantic drama. Interestingly, at a public event in the past, Mani Ratnam openly declared on stage that he is a fan of Sai Pallavi and admires her natural acting style. That admiration has now translated into a collaboration.
The film will reportedly star Vijay Sethupathi as the male lead. The project will be jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies.
Sai Pallavi’s Current Film Slate: From Bollywood to Pan-India Biggies

Sai Pallavi is currently one of the busiest and most in-demand actresses in Indian cinema.
Here’s a look at her current slate:
1. Ek Din
“Ek Din” marks her second Hindi film. She stars opposite Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan. The film is slated for release this summer and is expected to further strengthen her presence in Bollywood.
2. Ramayana Part 1 and Part 2
One of the most ambitious Indian films mounted on a global scale, “Ramayana Part 1” features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi essays the role of Sita. The film is scheduled for a grand release this Diwali and is being positioned as a visual spectacle for worldwide audiences.
3. D55
Sai Pallavi has signed Dhanush’s upcoming film, tentatively referred to as “D55.” The project, which also features Sreeleela, was launched recently and has already generated strong buzz among fans.
4. Kalki 2
Sai Pallavi is reportedly stepping into “Kalki 2,” the sequel to “Kalki 2898 AD.” In the first installment, Deepika Padukone played the role of Sumati. However, reports suggest that differences between Deepika and the production house led to her exit. Sai Pallavi is now said to be taking over the role in the sequel, though an official confirmation is awaited.
With such a diverse and high-profile lineup, Sai Pallavi’s pan-India journey appears stronger than ever.
