Nikhil Siddhartha is gearing up for his ambitious new project, “Swayambhu.” Touted as a pan-Indian visual spectacle mounted on a massive budget, the film has now kickstarted its promotional campaign.
The team unveiled a colorful Holi poster teasing the launch of the film’s first single. The poster showcases Nikhil in the avatar of a fierce warrior, set against the grandeur of a temple backdrop blended with festive hues. Extending Holi wishes to fans, Nikhil shared a “Colourful Happy Holi” message and hinted that the first single is “loading.”
Set in 985 AD, this period action drama revolves around the legendary Sengol scepter. The film features Samyuktha Menon and Nabha Natesh as the female leads.
Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, the film is mounted on a grand scale. Production designers M. Prabhaharan and Raveendra have recreated an authentic era of kings, while cinematographer K. K. Senthil Kumar lends sweeping visual richness to the narrative.
“Swayambhu” is planned for a pan-world release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Chinese, Spanish, and Arabic. While the official release date is yet to be announced, the makers are eyeing a Summer 2026 release.
