Christmas Day: ‘Pushpa 2’ collects higher than ‘Baby John’

Baby John and Pushpa 2

There’s no stopping ‘Pushpa 2’ in Hindi land. The Hindi version of “Pushpa 2” had already created history by becoming the all-time highest-grossing Hindi movie in India. Even Bollywood’s premiere production houseYRF congratulated the team of “Pushpa 2” for scripting a new history and setting new records. The Allu Arjun starrer is still continuing to rake in massive money.

On Christmas festival day, the Hindi version of “Pushpa 2” collected about Rs 19.5 crore (nett) in India despite competition from the new movie “Baby John” and reduced screens, proving what a hit machine, it turned out to be.

On the other hand, “Baby John,” which starred Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, on its opening day collected just about Rs 10 Cr (nett). “Pushpa 2” has raked in double the money than “Baby John” on Christmas festival day.

While the Telugu version of “Pushpa 2” nearly ended its run in Telugu states, the Hindi version demonstrates its long-term potential. The Hindi version is likely to go past Rs 800 Cr nett in India. “Pushpa 2,” directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
