First Weekend: Vakeel Saab posts solid numbers

‘Vakeel Saab’ is the first big star movie that hit the screens this year. It was also Pawan Kalyan’s comeback project. Expectedly, ‘Vakeel Saab’ took massive openings on the first day. But Andhra Pradesh government had created a lot of obstacles containing its collections by bringing new G.Os restricting ticket prices. The AP High Court also stood by the government’s G.O.

The collections saw a substantial dent in Andhra Pradesh in its first weekend due to this controversy. Also, producer Dil Raju and distributors have refrained from talking about or revealing collections fearing the wrath of the government.

Considering the COVID-19 situation and political controversies, the film still has posted solid numbers in its first weekend in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The film has collected about 53 Cr share in its first weekend in Telugu states, which is a huge figure.

In the USA, ‘Vakeel Saab’ grossed about $680k in its first weekend. The worldwide first weekend share stands approximately at Rs 59 Cr.
