Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi: A total disaster at BO

Last weekend saw the release of just one notable Telugu film: “Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi,” starring Tarun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba. Despite extensive promotions by the lead pair, the film failed to make any impact at the box office. As TeluguCinema.com noted in its review, the film missed the punch of the original and struggled to engage audiences.
Merits aside, the box office performance was outright disappointing.
The film failed to post even decent domestic collections, with theatres reporting poor occupancy across centers. Tarun Bhascker, who once commanded respectable openings as a director, appears to have lost that pull after shifting focus to acting. This film further reinforces the perception that he currently lacks box-office traction as an actor. Eesha Rebba, too, gained little from the outing.
In the North American market, the film managed to gross a mere $60k, sealing its fate early. Overall, Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi has ended up as a total disaster.

Meanwhile, holdover releases such as Anaganaga Oka Raju, and Nari Nari Naduma Murari also failed to register any significant additional collections during the weekend. The only film that continues to draw collection even now is “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.”
