The Deepavali festival of 2024 delighted distributors and theater proprietors as the new films – Ka, Lucky Baskhar, Amaran – achieved a remarkable debut at the box office. The theaters are experiencing high attendance.
The period following Deepavali is typically deemed unsuitable for new releases. Telugu film makers have increasingly opted to release their high-profile movies in December and January rather than November. November sees a decline in releases, predominantly including medium-budget films.

November 8
Nikhil Siddharth’s long-pending project “Appudo Ippudo Eppudo” will be the first notable release this month. Directed by Sudheer Varma and produced by BVSN Prasad, the rom-com has Divyansha Kaushik and Rukmini Vasanth as the leading women. Although there aren’t many expectations, Nikhil enjoys a stable market. Therefore, this film has the potential to achieve strong openings.
“Dhoom Dham” stars Chetan Krishna and Hebah Patel as the lead pair. Both of these movies are competing with each other on November 8.
November 14
“Matka,” featuring Varun Tej, has been generating a lot of interest despite the actor’s previous three films tanking at the box office. This period drama has Varun Tej in the titular role, exhibiting various avatars. Directed by Karuna Kumar, the film has Meenakshi Chaudhary and Nora Fatehi playing the main female leads.
“Kanguva” is one pan-Indian biggie that has caught everyone’s interest. Suriya is going all out to promote this film across India. Given Suriya’s strong market in Telugu, this period of action extravaganza is expected to open in a big way.
Along with these two biggies, “Devaki Vasudeva Nandana” will compete at the box office on November 14. The film stars Mahesh Babu’s nephew Ashoka Galla as the hero.
November 22
“Mechanic Rocky” is the mass entertainer from Vishwak Sen. He plays a mechanic who romances two beauties—Shraddha Srinath and Meenakshi Chaudhary. This will be the third film release in 20 days for Meenakshi Chaudhary. Vishwak Sen has a good following among the youth. Hence, it will open big.

“Roti Kapda Romance,” a youthful family entertainer, features actors Harsha Narra, Sandeep Saroj, Tarun, Supraj Ranga, Sonu Thakur, Nuvveksha, Meghalekha, and Khushboo Chaudhary. Both “Mechnaic Rocky” and “Roti Kapda Romance” release in theaters on November 22.
