After a string of setbacks in Telugu cinema, Pooja Hegde has shifted her focus to Tamil films. Her most recent Tamil release, Retro starring Suriya, failed at the box office. However, she has wrapped up work on Jana Nayagan with Thalapathy Vijay, scheduled for release on January 9, 2026.
In a fresh update, Pooja has reportedly landed a major role opposite Dhanush in his next film, tentatively titled #D54.
Directed by Vignesh Raja, the project will go on floors soon. Dhanush, having recently released “Kuberaa” in Telugu and completed a Hindi film, is now returning focus to Tamil cinema with this drama.
Although Pooja Hegde’s name hasn’t been officially announced, industry insiders suggest that she is on board as the leading lady.
