Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s long-delayed collaboration “Spirit” is finally set to go on floors. The film, in which Prabhas plays a police officer for the first time, was initially expected to begin shooting last year but faced several postponements, leading to speculation that it may be shelved.
Putting rumors to rest, co-producer Pranay Vanga (Sandeep’s brother) confirmed that Spirit will begin filming in September 2025, with no further delays anticipated. The director is currently immersed in pre-production.
The film stars Tripti Dimri as the female lead. After playing a supporting role in Vanga’s Animal, Tripti now headlines as the main heroine opposite Prabhas.
“Spirit” marks the 25th film in Prabhas’s career and already carries massive expectations.
