US BO: Love Story nears $1 million mark

Sekhar Kammula directed romantic drama ‘Love Story’ is having a great run at the USA box office. The film is all set to touch the coveted $1 million mark in the USA. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi as the lead pair, the film won good reviews. It has raked in about 288k dollars on Saturday.

The film has consistently been collecting about 300k dollars for the past three days. The cumulative gross now stands at $895k. However, it underperformed on Saturday. If the film adds another $100k, it will touch the mark of $1 million.

It will be the second consecutive hit for director Sekhar Kammula after ‘Fidaa’. The success of ‘Love Story is all the more important as the theatrical business suffered due to the pandemic.

Love Story: Premiere: $313k, Fri: 292, Sat: 289 Total Gross: $895k (Rs 6.60 crore)

The early sales of Sunday in the USA are also encouraging.
