The first week of screenings for Sankranthi movies has ended. The four films – ‘Tegimpu’, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and ‘Vaarasudu’ – are now anticipating earnings from a second weekend in theatres.
On January 12, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ was released, and it quickly surpassed all of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s previous films in terms of its first-week earnings. In its first week, the movie made Rs 65 crore (global share).
‘Veera Simha Reddy’ earned Rs 56 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The dollar revenue it made in the United States was $1,047,152 (Rs 8.5 Crore). Overall, it is a huge amount of money for a Balayya movie to make in its first week, surpassing his previous best(‘Akhanda’). Still, it must test its mettle this coming weekend.
Gopichand Malineni’s ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ benefited greatly from its incredible opening weekend take. There was lot of hype before the release.
The action film features Balakrishna in a dual role. The female leads were played by Shruti Haasan and Honey Rose. In this role, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar portrayed his sister.
