Actress Samyuktha Menon has been finalized as the female lead in Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film, tentatively titled RAPO23. The project is significant as it marks Ram’s directorial debut, in addition to him playing the lead role.
According to industry sources, Ram explored several options for the heroine’s role. Names such as Nivetha Pethuraj were reportedly under consideration before the makers eventually zeroed in on Samyuktha. She is said to have liked the script and agreed to be part of the project.
The film will mark the first on-screen pairing of Ram Pothineni and Samyuktha Menon, offering Telugu audiences a fresh combination. Reports suggest that Samyuktha has already joined the ongoing shoot.
Billed as a mass entertainer, RAPO23 is progressing at a brisk pace.
Samyuktha is currently juggling multiple Telugu projects, including Swayambhu and Slum Dog. After establishing herself with performance-oriented roles, the actress has increasingly been signing commercial, mass-oriented entertainers in recent times.
