Varun Tej’s ‘Korean Kanakaraju’ finally gets a release date

Varun Tej’s horror-comedy “Korean Kanakaraju” (KOKA) will arrive in theatres worldwide on August 7. The film was initially planned for February 2026 release but due to Varun Tej’s injury the film got delayed.

Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film is being produced by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainment and is currently in the final stages of post-production.

The makers announced the release date by unveiling a stylish new poster. It features Varun Tej in a rugged avatar, seated confidently with a blood-stained sword in one hand and a grenade in the other, while a group of Korean gangsters stand around him inside a dimly lit warehouse.

Ritika Nayak stars opposite Varun Tej, while comedian Satya plays a pivotal role. Thaman provides the music.

Varun Tej has seen many flops in the recent years and he is pinning hopes on this quirky comedy entertainer “Korean Kanakaraju”.
