If the film earns another $300,000 on Monday, it will surpass “RRR” and become the second highest grossing Indian film in North America. Rajamouli’s “RRR” grossed $14.3 million in the United States (three languages combined). “Pathaan,” an action film, raked in such a large sum in just 12 days.

With $20 million, Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2” remains the highest-grossing Indian film in North America. The film “Pathaan” starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who will next work with Prabhas.
