Weekend BO: Kantara back to the top place

The Deepavali films did not last beyond their opening weekend. Sardar, which was poised to become a hit, plummeted during the weekdays. And the film did not improve in its second weekend.

Although Vishwak Sen’s ‘Ori Devuda’ saw little growth in its second weekend, it is still a long way from breaking even.

Many unknown or new films were released in theatres over the weekend. No one cared to watch them, as expected. So, the first choice for moviegoers remained ‘Kantara,’ which secured more theatres last weekend and has returned to the top spot.

Kantara has so far earned Rs 16 crore in Telugu states. It is a huge success.
