Vishwak Sen promoted “Mechanic Rocky” with a lot of confidence. He expressed confidence that the film would resonate with audiences due to its unique screenplay. But the film turned out to be a flop at the box office.
“Mechanic Rocky,” along with two other films, “Zebra” and “Devaki Nandana Vasudeva,” hit the theaters last Friday. The Vishwak Sen starrer was the bigger project of these three films. Strangely, Vishwak Sen’s film did not receive a strong opening on its first day though it opened well a day before with paid premiere shows.
Not only did the film fail to get openings on the first day, but it also could not see any growth on Sunday. Thus, the film turned out to be a dud in the first weekend.
Satyadev’s “Zebra” saw an increase in collections on Sunday as a result of positive word-of-mouth. It is among the better-performing movies this weekend.
On the other hand, “Devaki Nandana Vasudeva,” which starred Mahesh Babu’s nephew, experienced show cancellations due to zero collections on the first day. It is a complete washout.
Overall, the month of November 2024 didn’t do anything positive for the Telugu film industry.
