Weekend BO Report: Harom Hara, Maharaja, and Yevam

Harom Hara, Yevam, Maharaja

Every week, multiple new films are hitting the theaters, but the results have lately been consistent. One or two films opened well in recent weeks, but they, too, failed to live up to the initial hype. Last weekend was no different.

On June 14, “Harom Hara”, “Maharaja”, “Yevam”, “Indrani”, and “Music Shop Murthy”arrived in theaters. “Harom Hara” the most important. While Sudheer Babu’s film had a better opening than the others, its overall collections were low. The first weekend collections did not provide any relief to the producers or distributors.

The dubbed film “Maharaja,” which marked Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film, received superb reviews. The film did not have a strong opening day, but it gained momentum at multiplexes in some cities on Sunday.

Chandini Chowdhary starred in two films that bombed at the box office: “Yevam” and “Music Shop Murthy”.

Sharwanand’s film “Manamey” performed lowerside in its second weekend. Now, all eyes are on the biggie “Kalki 2898 AD,” which opens in theaters on June 27, 2024.
