“Salaar,” featuring Prabhas in the lead role, has achieved remarkable numbers in both the Telugu states and overseas, astonishing industry experts during its initial weekend. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film maintained its strong performance at the box office in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, USA, and Gulf countries.
The film achieved a near-record level of revenue within a three-day period in Telangana. If this pattern persists beyond the Christmas holiday period, the Nizam distributors will have no cause for concern. Mythri Movie Makers acquired the film’s rights for a staggering amount of Rs 65 Cr. There have been uncertainties regarding the distribution company’s ability to recoup its investment. But it is currently progressing in the correct direction.
The numbers in Andhra Pradesh are also huge, comparable to some of the highest earners. Each center is documenting substantial figures.
The film generated an impressive $5.5 million (Rs 45.5 Cr) in revenue within three days in North America. It ranks as the third highest grossing film in Prabhas’s career, following the “Baahubali” movies.
Overall, Prabhas has once again demonstrated his supremacy in terms of film openings, surpassing any Telugu star in this regard.
