Actresses signing projects solely for money!

Samantha, Tamannaah, Keerthy Suresh, and Shruti Haasan are part of the top league of actresses in the Telugu cinema industry. Given their status and popularity, they command high remuneration. They also don’t need to sign projects just for money. However, all these four actresses have done the same.

Shruti Haasan is 35. She recently paired up with a big star like Pawan Kalyan and She currently is part of ‘Salaar’, that is pan-India superstar Prabhas. Clearly, Shruti Haasan is still getting high-profile projects opposite top stars of this generation. No wonder that she rejected Nandamuri Balakrishna’s movie when Gopichand Malineni offered the film first.

She didn’t want to pair up with a senior actor who is of her father’s age. She refused to be Balakrishna’s Jodi in #NBK107, but director Gopichand and producers have requested to do it and also offered big money. The makers offered her nearly Rs 75 lakhs more than her current remuneration. And she came on board for this project.

With her very first film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’, Samantha gained immense popularity. The massive success of her second film, Dookudu, catapulted her to stardom and she never looked back.

After her marriage, Samantha’s start status further multiplied. But now, everything has changed. She got separated from her husband. She needs to put her career back on track. Thus, she readily agreed when the makers of ‘Pushpa’ have offered her item song. She is doing an item song in her career for the first time. 

She gets Rs 1.5 crore for the four-day work.

Tamannaah in Bholaa Shankar

For Tamannaah, signing ‘Bholaa Shankar’ was purely a business decision. Although she played as the second heroine in ‘Sye Raa’, she reluctantly agreed to do a full-fledged heroine of senior hero Chiranjeevi. It was the high remuneration that did the trick. She is taking home Rs 2 crore plus a paycheck. This is higher than what she is currently getting. 

In the same film, Keerthy Suresh is also playing the sister’s role. She also agreed to do the movie only after demanding higher remuneration.

The actresses are playing inconsequential and formulaic roles in these projects. The sole reason for being part of them is high remuneration. Who doesn’t want money?
