Following COVID, the OTT rights for all Telugu films have increased manyfold. Today, producers recover nearly 60% of their investment through OTT rights.
Hence, actors have started demanding more money from producers.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s remuneration has now increased to Rs 25 crore. He is getting this huge sum for his recently launched film directed by Bobby. It is being bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments. Balakrishna’s two films, Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy, were super hits.
Ravi Teja’s salary continues to rise irrespective of successes and failures. As if he were an IT employee, he believes in annual raises. He doesn’t care if his films are flops; he wants annual hike. He, too, is now being paid in excess of Rs 20 crore.
Meanwhile, following the success of ‘Dasara,’ Nani is rumored to be demanding Rs 25 crore.
