Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, NTR, and Ram Charan are some of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars. They have millions of fans. But it’s odd that none of them had a single film released this year. These top four actors, known for their prolific acting careers, completely missed the year 2023.
Guntur Kaaram moved from 2023 to 2024
Mahesh Babu had planned to release “Guntur Kaaram” in August of this year, but production was delayed twice due to disagreements between him and director Trivikram. As a result, the film’s production was put on hold, and the release date was pushed back to January 12, 2024. Thus, Mahesh Babu missed the year 2023.
RRR stars’ shoots delayed
Both NTR and Ram Charan, the stars of “RRR,” who rose to global fame with the film, were involved in an Oscar campaign earlier this year, and their shoot plans were pushed back. NTR’s “Devara” is currently in production and will be released in theaters in April 2024. Shankar, on the other hand, has been filming “Game Changer” for the past two years. The filming will last another two months. As a result, the Ram Charan starrer will be released in the second half of 2024.
Allu Arjun deliberately missed the year
Allu Arjun and director Sukumar abandoned their plans to release “Pushpa 2” in 2023 because the first part was a huge success in India and they want the sequel to be even bigger. As a result, the release date has been postponed to August 2024. Hence, Allu Arjun did not have a release this year.
Sharwanand, Nagarjuna, and Venkatesh
Sharwanand, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Rana Daggubati were among the other major stars who were unable to release a single film this year.
Sharwanand had success with “Oke Oka Jeevitham” last year and has since begun work on his 35th film, directed by Sriram Adittya. However, the film encountered some issues during production. This year he also married. All of this contributed to the lack of a release in 2023.
Venkatesh did not have a feature film release in 2023, despite appearing in his first web series “Rana Naidu” this year. “Saindhav,” which was supposed to be released in December, has been pushed back to January 13, 2024. His nephew Rana, too, didn’t have a single movie release.
After a string of flops, Nagarjuna took a long break before beginning work on “Naa Saami Ranga” three months ago. As a result, he did not have a release this year. However, he continued to host “Bigg Boss Telugu” on television.
