Nayan Sarika: My role in Vishnu Vinyasam has many shades

Nayan Sarika is gearing up for the release of “Vishnu Vinyasam,” in which she stars opposite Sree Vishnu. The film is slated for a worldwide release on February 27. Speaking at a press conference, the actress shared insights about her character, career journey, and future aspirations.

A character with many layers

Nayan Sarika revealed that she plays a character named Manisha, which comes with multiple shades. She described it as a slightly female-dominated role that may initially seem annoying to some, especially male viewers. However, she assured that the second half reveals the emotional depth and reasoning behind her behavior, making the audience connect with and appreciate the character.

In the teaser, her role appeared bold, and she acknowledged that those glimpses were crucial to both the storyline and her character arc. Manisha is portrayed as a young woman who has endured significant hardships in life and now aspires to live peacefully and comfortably. She plays a college faculty member, just like Sree Vishnu’s character, making the film a love story between two lecturers: a setup that she believes will strongly connect with students and youth.

From aspiring lawyer to actress

Originally from Maharashtra, Nayan Sarika completed her graduation with dreams of becoming a lawyer. However, her childhood love for cinema eventually turned into a profession. She made her Telugu debut with “Gam Gam Ganesha” opposite Anand Deverakonda, followed by “Aye” and “Ka,” both of which turned out to be successful. She now hopes “Vishnu Vinyasam” will complete a hat-trick of hits.

Speaking about her co-star, she described working with Sree Vishnu as a fun and enjoyable experience, calling him a jovial and supportive person.

Dream project and upcoming films

Nayan Sarika said her ultimate dream is to work in a film directed by S. S. Rajamouli, considering it a milestone achievement for any actor.

She also revealed her upcoming projects, including “Rakasa,” a fantasy comedy in Telugu, and a Kannada film opposite Ganesh.
