Pooja Hegde has taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane after receiving the Pan-India Style Icon of the Year award. The actress shared an emotional note on social media, expressing gratitude for the recognition while recalling her school days.
Although she has gone through a lean phase at the box office in recent years, Pooja said the appreciation she continues to receive means a lot to her.
She recently attended her school as the chief guest for an event, where she reunited with her teachers. The visit turned into a deeply personal moment, reminding her of the shy and introverted student she once was.
Sharing pictures from the event, she wrote:
“What a week it was. From getting the Pan-India Style Icon of the Year award to being a Chief Guest at my school event and meeting all my teachers. The small, geeky, introverted, extremely shy girl who walked the corridors of her school (almost invisible), dreaming big dreams, is grateful and touched to be seen and appreciated for her work. Lots more work ahead, dreams to achieve and a world to conquer because as my school motto said, ‘There is no excellence without labour’… So on we go.”
The heartfelt post has resonated with her fans.
On the work front, Pooja Hegde will next be seen opposite Dulquer Salmaan in an upcoming Telugu film (DQ41).
