Nani has been tirelessly promoting his upcoming film, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, set for release on August 29. The action drama, directed by Vivek Athreya, stars Priyanka Mohan as the female lead and SJ Suyah as the antagonist. Nani met with the media to discuss the film. Excerpts.
What is Saripodaaa Sanivaaram’s main point?
“Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” has a strong story. The trailer itself effectively illustrates the main point. The storytelling is the film’s main attraction. I liked the narration, and the writing was racy. The plot contains plenty of adrenaline-pumping scenes that will keep the viewers glued to the screen. You can only best experience these moments in a theater. Everything in this film is organic.
Is there a purpose for the title?
The film’s opening scenes reveal an emotional component to this title. This moment’s realization is my favorite scene.
How was it working with SJ Suryah?
I really enjoyed sharing screen space with him. Because he is a director by nature, he is well-versed in the story’s intricacies and narrative structure. He can teach you a new viewpoint on performing. He also dubbed his voice after working for about seven days.
Vivek Athreya’s prior collaboration with you did not perform well at the box office…
Yes, our previous film “Ante Sundaraniki” was not a success. However, some audiences responded positively to it. Many people have declared it their favorite movie. Vivek Athreya is an incredibly gifted director. During the making of “Ante Sundariniki,” he made several mistakes in the script structure. I reminded him to concentrate on his strongest skill, which is writing. This time, he excelled beyond expectations.
Is this an out-and-out action film?
Fights and action scenes account for only 20% of the film’s content. The entire film will be in action mode, but there are no plenty of fights.
Your pan-India efforts have yielded few dividends, but you continue to insist on releasing each movie in many languages?
Looking at the crowd during my movie promotional events in various states, it’s surprising how much they love me. With each film, popularity increases. I am pleased with the progress I have made in other language markets.
