Nivetha Pethuraj has never played a glamour doll in her career. She will, however, appear in such an avatar in ‘Das Ka Dhamki,’ which will be released on March 22nd. Vishwak Sen directed and produced the film in addition to acting in it. She previously appeared in ‘Paagal’ with Vishwak Sen. Nivetha discussed the film and her future plans for care.
How does it feel to be playing opposite Vishwak Sen in such a short period of time?
In fact, after “Paagal,” I was approached for his next film, “Ori Devuda,” but I thought I wouldn’t be a good fit. Instead, I chose “Dhamki” over “Ori Devuda”. This is a distinctive script. Aside from pairing up with Vishwak Sen, acting in his direction is exciting.
How would you rate Vishwak Sen’s directing abilities?
He is also a very energetic director. After Trivikram, he is the most dynamic director I’ve worked with. He has a lot of stories in his head. He has brilliant ideas.
What makes your role so unique?
I’ve never played a role that was overly glamorous. I got to perform tough dance steps. This is my first time appearing as a glam doll.
Do you intend to become a director?
Yes, but not now. I may one day become a director, but I will never become a producer.
We heard you’ve also become an entrepreneur?
Yes, I ventured into restaurant business. In Chennai, a restaurant was recently opened.
What new projects have you signed on to?
I’ve signed a deal with producer Sushmita and T Series for a Hindi film.
