A case was booked against Goa pan masala owner and his son and actor Sachin Joshi for cheating and under the Trade Mark Act for violation of trademark. Shashambad police have registered a case on them with a complaint from Hyderabad-based businessman A.V Suresh Kumar.
Sachin Joshi, who played lead roles in Telugu films like ‘Ninu Choodaka Nenundalenu’, ‘Orey Pandu’, and ‘Veedevvadu’, is also the producer of several Hindi and Telugu movies. He and his father run Goa pan masala products. However, Suresh Kumar alleged that SM Joshi and Sachin Joshi are using the trademark of Manikchand illegally without requisite trademark permission.
Police had sent a look-out notice against Sachin Joshi in March this year. He returned to India two days ago, and upon his arrival in Mumbai, the immigration officials detained him.
