Actress Lakshmi R Menon, known for films like Kumki and Jigarthanda, has been granted interim relief by the Kerala High Court in an abduction case. The court ordered that she should not be arrested until September 17.
The case has drawn attention due to its unusual nature, as the actress faces allegations of kidnapping an IT professional. According to the complaint, a dispute broke out at a pub in Kochi where Lakshmi Menon and her friends were present. When the complainant and his friends attempted to leave, the actress allegedly chased their car, dragged him out, forced him into another vehicle, and assaulted him.
Video footage of the incident has also surfaced online, intensifying the controversy.
Although Lakshmi Menon has not acted in Telugu films directly, her dubbed movies such as Kumki and Chandramukhi 2 were released in Telugu. She was once rumored to be linked with actor Vishal, though those reports were later dismissed as baseless.
