Allu Arjun said he is a star because of director Sukumar’s genius. Talking to press, he said because of the movie ‘Arya’ I gained recoginition as an actor. “With Pushpa, Sukumar placed me where I am today,” he added.
The National Award-winning actor discussed the gentle connotation of the film’s title and its juxtaposition with Pushpa Raj’s character. “We created a contrast with a poster, and it significantly enhanced the visual impact. It was my friend and director Harish Shankar who expressed doubts about soft title for a mass film. Then Sukumar with this idea,” he added.
The actor referenced a period when participating in a Hindi film was a coveted goal for Telugu actors. “From that point to the present, we have made significant progress,” he added.
Allu Arjun discussed the Jathara episode in “Pushpa 2” and the transformation he underwent to wear the female attire. “My director is an unconventional thinker. He possesses exceptional intelligence. The Jathara episode is the most challenging work I have ever undertaken,” he stated.
Pushpa 2 is set for reease on December 5, 2025.
