TV stars ‘anchor’ Ravi and Sudigaali Sudheer have landed in trouble after their comedy skit went viral. In the comedy skit, they mimicked an old scene from Chiranjeevi and Rambha starrer “Bavagaru Baagunnara.”
In this skit, Sudigaali Sudheer played Chiranjeevi’s role while Rambha reprised her act. On the other hand, anchor Ravi encouraged them to perform the scene.
In the scene, when Sudheer was asked to see Lord Shiva through the horns of Nandi, he spots Rambha and replies that he is only seeing ‘Ammagaru’ (woman), not Lord Shiva. Some Hindu associations objected to this skit and demanded an apology for turning sacred rituals into a comedy skit and offending Lord Shiva devotees.
Ravi promptly responded to their demand, apologized for his actions, and pledged never to repeat such skits that could cause harm to his devotees. Sudheer is yet to respond.
