Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are joining forces after a long time. Their upcoming film, Thalaivar 173, will feature Rajinikanth in the lead role, directed by Sundar C and produced by Kamal Haasan under his prestigious banner, Raaj Kamal Films International.
Kamal Haasan made the official announcement, sharing photos of the two legends warmly shaking hands and posing with the film’s team.

Set for a grand Sankranthi 2027 release, the film is expected to go on floors soon. It’s worth noting that Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are also set to share screen space in another project, which will materialize after the release of Thalaivar 173. For now, Kamal Haasan will serve solely as the producer of this highly anticipated film.
