Andhra Pradesh government is going ahead with its plan of putting a cap on admission rates in cinema halls. The state’s High Court dismissed the government’s earlier order (G.O). In a fresh movie, the government has entrusted the authority of distributing movie tickets to the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation (APFDC).
The government has issued a G.O number 142 maintaining that the tickets would be sold through an online portal run by APFDC.
In Andhra Pradesh, the government has also restricted the shows, canceled benefit shows. ‘Pushpa The Rise’ is being screened with regular ticket prices in the state.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has stated this move would help the government and the audiences. All cinema halls in the state will have to sell movie tickets through a government-run online platform.
