It is going to be a record. No other director in the Telugu film industry has received a Rs 10 crore paycheck for the second film. Buchi Babu is setting a new precedent.
The young director shot to fame with ‘Uppena’ which turned out to be a massive blockbuster. The film was made with Rs 18 Cr budget, and it did collect nearly 40 Cr share from theatrical business and another 15 crores from digital and satellite rights.
It was a hugely profitable venture for the production house – Mythri Movie Makers.
No wonder that the production house has made a deal with Buchi Babu for another film and this time has agreed to pay him a massive paycheck of Rs 8 crore+ GST.
NTR has already agreed to act in this film. But it has not yet been officially announced. Whoever acts in his next film, the fact remains that Buchi Babu would receive such massive remuneration for the second film.
