Budget worries aside, Koratala Siva chooses Anirudh Ravichander again

Director Koratala Siva has finally ended the speculation surrounding the music composer for his upcoming film starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. As expected, Anirudh Ravichander has been finalized to score the music.

Anirudh was always Koratala’s preferred choice, especially after the successful collaboration they shared on “Devara,” starring NTR. However, the decision was not without debate. Sources say members of the team had raised concerns about the film’s budget, considering Anirudh is currently among the highest-paid music directors in India.

The concern stemmed from the fact that Balakrishna’s box-office market is considerably smaller than that of NTR, making it harder to justify such a high-profile and expensive addition to the project. 

There were apprehensions that bringing in a star composer like Anirudh would significantly inflate the overall budget.

After weighing the pros and cons, Koratala reportedly concluded that Anirudh’s contribution would be worth the investment. The director believes the composer’s music, background score, and promotional songs can substantially boost the film’s appeal and pre-release buzz.

Anirudh has earned a reputation for elevating films with his chartbuster soundtracks and impactful background scores. His work on films such as “Jailer” is often cited as a key factor in amplifying audience excitement and enhancing the theatrical experience.

The Balakrishna-Koratala project has already been officially announced, though production is expected to commence later. The film will be produced by SLV Cinemas’s Sudhakar Cherukuri in association with Sudhakar Mikkilineni.
