Chiranjeevi and director Bobby (K. S. Ravindra) have teamed up for the second time after delivering the blockbuster “Waltair Veerayya.” Their new project coined as #ChiruBobby2 was announced with much fanfare, and the shoot was expected to begin by now. However, the film appears to be facing unexpected delays.
According to industry insiders, the project is encountering financial and scheduling issues even before going on floors. The film is being produced by KVN Productions, a major banner from the Kannada film industry.
The production house is currently dealing with multiple big-budget projects that have run into hurdles. Its Tamil film “Jana Nayagan” reportedly faced censor-related issues, leading to delays in release. At the same time, the company is also associated with Toxic, starring Yash, which has also seen postponements.
Apart from these, the high-budget Kannada film “KD” is currently under production. With several large projects stuck at different stages, the banner is said to be under pressure to complete and release them before committing fully to new ventures.
Because of this situation, the Chiranjeevi–Bobby film is reportedly being pushed back from its original schedule. Industry observers are now waiting to see how KVN Productions resolves these issues and when the project will finally go on floors. Interestingly, the banner has also reportedly paid advances to several top Telugu stars and directors for future collaborations, adding to its financial commitments.
