‘Court’ crosses $1 million at the US box office

The legal drama “Court,” presented by actor Nani, has surpassed the $1 million mark at the USA box office. The film, which premiered on March 13, reached this milestone in just 13 days, marking a significant achievement for an offbeat film.

This makes “Court” the second major blockbuster in the North American market this year, following “Sankranthiki Vasthunam.”

Starring Priyadarshi, Harsh Roshan, and Sridevi in lead roles, “Court” was produced by Prashanti Tipirneni and directed by newcomer Ram Jagadish. The film received widespread critical acclaim, with strong word-of-mouth further driving its success.

While crossing the $1 million mark has become routine for big-budget Telugu films, this milestone is particularly noteworthy for a content-driven drama like “Court.” The film also generated substantial profits for its distributor.

“Court” tells the gripping story of a teenager wrongly accused under the POCSO Act, highlighting an important legal and social issue.
