In a setback to Ram Gopal Varma, a court in Nalgonda asked the filmmaker not to release his upcoming movie, ‘Murder’, until the court hearings get completed on the petition filed by Perumalla Balaswamy. The SC/ST court in Nalgonda that took up the petition of Balaswamy on Monday issued interim orders stalling the film’s release.

RGV’s web movie ‘Murder’ is based on the life of Amrutha and Pranay of Miriyalaguda in Telangana state. Amrutha’s father killed Pranay for marrying her daughter. Not heeding to her father’s objections, Amrutha, who belongs to the upper caste married Pranay, a Dalit youngster. The caste killing shocked the entire Telugu states.

But Amrutha and her father-in-law are objecting to RGV’s film.

RGV says his film is not based on living persons and is a fictional story.
