Day 1: Love Story takes box-office by storm

‘Love Story’ brought new hope to the ailing theatrical business. The theatrical business was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. ‘Love Story’ has emerged as the film that took the biggest opening in Indian cinema after the second wave of COVID-19. The film took the box office by storm in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and the USA.

The day one collection is pegged at Rs 8 crore (share) worldwide. This is HUGE!

Box-office pundits say the film has collected approximately Rs 6.5 crore in Andhra and Telangana. Rs 3.05 crore share came from the Nizam alone. In the USA, the film has already crossed the half-million mark. 

Altogether, the film is said to have collected Rs 8.5 crore worldwide on day one. This is the biggest opening in Naga Chaitanya’s career.

Directed by Sekhar Kammula, ‘Love Story’ starred Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi as lovers. The film is the maiden production of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP.
